Indiana title, and repossession requirements:

Title State: License and Registration information refer to: Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 100 N. Senate Ave., #401, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204

Recording: With County Recorder of county where mortgagor resides: if non-resident, where goods are located. Uniform Commercial Code adopted July, 1964.

Recovery: Peaceful repossession permitted.

Redemption: Prior to foreclosure for chattel mortgages and within 21 days of retaking for conditional sales contracts.

Deficiency: Allowed. Regulated by State Statute.

Special Motor Vehicle Provisions: Lien noted on certificate of title.

Documents Required to Transfer Ownership of Motor Vehicle: Title in owner's name showing lien (if possible to obtain). Certified true copy of contract. Certificate of Repossession and application for title in lien holder's name. Lien holder must obtain title in their name to dispose of vehicle.

PLATES: Remain with the owner.
