"Taking It Back"
Woman rams car into repo-man's pickup
Police were called to the scene of a car repossession early Monday
when a woman who had defaulted on her car loan drove into the repo man's
pickup.
The incident occurred on Riverview near Joy Road about 7:30 a.m., a
police report said. No one was injured, and there were only scratches on
the vehicles, police said.
The repo man told police he had tried to block the woman from leaving
her driveway in the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, but that she had driven it
into his truck and tried to push it.
The woman, 42, said the collision wasn't deliberate, but that the Grand
Prix had slipped on the ice.
Despite a repossession order, the woman would not surrender the car
keys, and the Grand Prix was towed away, police said. The repo man
didn't want to press charges for the collision.
