Title State: License and Registration information refer to: Washington Department of Licensing Highways, P.O. Box 9042, Olympia, Washington 98507
Recording: Security agreement perfected by application for title showing secured party as legal owner. Perfected as of date of signing, if application made within 8 department days of signing; otherwise, as of date title application is received.
Recovery: Peaceful repossession permitted.
Redemption: Ten day redemption.
Deficiency: Deficiency judgment can be taken after foreclosure if a chattel mortgage, however deficiencies not allowed if a conditional sales contract.
Special Motor Vehicle Provisions: Liens are recorded on title.
Documents Required to Transfer Ownership of Motor Vehicle: Certificate of title with lien signed off, notarized affidavit of repossession, notarized copy of contract and odometer statement. PLATES: Remain with the vehicle.
